glitch in the matrix story vault

  30 years ago, I disappeared for 2 hours in plain sight:

I wasn’t going to post but here goes. When I was about 10 (so over 30yrs ago now) I went to a friend’s house for a sleepover. She took me down to the lower level to this amazing games room, complete with tv, jukebox etc as well as a pool table. I had never played pool and I was so excited. I remember her telling me she was not allowed to use the “sticks” but we could push the balls into the pockets. She ran off to the bathroom up the stairs and said she’d be right back and we would play with our hands instead. I sat there for about 5 minutes, on the edge of the pool table, practicing rolling balls around. She ran down the stairs and into the room with the most shocked look on her face when she saw me. She asked where I had been and that she and her parents had been looking everywhere for me. I thought she was playing a prank so I just laughed at her and just said that I was ready to play. She ran up to the the next floor and her parents came down looking panicked, but relieved and slightly angry at the same time.

It turned out that after my friend came back from the bathroom into the games room, I wasn’t there…..

She looked all over (the pool table I was sitting on was right in front of the stairs), calling my name, looked into cupboards and even went upstairs to every room of the house. She thought I was playing hide and seek. She eventually went to her parents and said she couldn’t find me.
Long story short, her parents got involved in the search inside the house and out, eventually talking about calling my parents and even the police before my friend found me sitting on the pool table 2 HOURS LATER as if nothing was happening. Essentially, I had not moved from that pool table and no time had passed for me but I had disappeared for 2 hours?

Sadly, her parents were so angry for the drama they think I created as a joke that I was not invited back to their place and that girl and I did not stay friends. I have no idea, to this day, what happened but I know I never moved from that pool table and she was gone for only about 5 minutes. I was not a prankster, in fact, I was very shy and respectful when it came to going to other peoples houses. I was not hiding… I never left that table!!!

Was this a Timelapse or a glitch of some kind?

Edit: I don’t believe the parents knew I was missing until about 30 minutes before I was found and didn’t realise the Timelapse so I don’t believe they were negligent. They went off when we first went down the stairs and my friend went to the bathroom. She was in trouble as well for not coming to them sooner
